The Hamilton community is mourning the loss of Brian “Turbo” Harness, a well-known chef and kitchen manager whose passion for food and dedication to his craft left a lasting impression on colleagues, friends, and family.
Brian most recently served as kitchen manager and chef at Son of a Peach Pizzeria, where his leadership, creativity, and energy helped shape a welcoming atmosphere that staff and guests cherished. His career also included time at the Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort, where he honed his skills in a fast-paced culinary environment.
A proud graduate of Fanshawe College, Brian completed his Chef Apprentice program and went on to build a career defined by hard work, mentorship, and an enduring love for the kitchen. He was educated at St. Patrick High School before pursuing his culinary path.
Born in London, Ontario, Brian later made his home in Hamilton, where he built both his career and his family life. He is remembered not only for his culinary talent but also for his warm personality, quick wit, and the nickname “Turbo,” which reflected the energy and drive he brought to everything he did.
Brian is survived by his wife, Susan Morrison, and will be remembered by his extended family, friends, colleagues, and all those whose lives he touched through his food and friendship.
His passing is a profound loss for Hamilton’s restaurant community and for everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
